CAMPUS

The school is spread in about three acres of land. It has a three storey building in a U shape with a playground providing a play field for games like Volley ball, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket etc. The rooms are well-ventilated and spacious. There are toilets for boys as well as girls on all the floors.

The school has well equipped laboratories with modern facilities. Keeping pace with modern times the school ensures that practical knowledge is placed at an equal level with theoretical knowledge which is necessary for the proper development of the mind.

When you step inside our cutting-edge classrooms, or walk the peaceful grounds along our beautiful brick buildings, you’ll feel like you’re on an elite School campus.
That’s a feeling we’ve integrated into every aspect of The Village School, and it’s part of why our students are fully prepared for a successful college experience.

ART AND CRAFT

The school has an Art and Craft Room, where students of classes VI onwards can develop their creativity in drawing, painting and craft. Students are taught how to use water colours, oil colours and pastel colours and pencil sketching. They also learn how to make sand painting, nib painting, and screen painting and also learn to make various handicrafts and things from waste material.Self-expression takes many forms in our Visual Arts education program: drawing, painting, pottery, sculpting photography and digital media. However, here at the RLS International School Kalron Gharaunda art will never be restricted to “Art” class, we believe in the integration of art and visual learning throughout our curriculum, using it to enhance lessons and improve visual critical thinking skills. The RLS International School Kalron provides opportunity for students to learn to enhance their visual communication skills through the application of Visual Arts Theory throughout their educational experience.

LIBRARY

RLS International School Kalron Gharaunda has a spacious library well stocked with about 15,000 books with the number increasing with each passing year. The library has sections ranging from text books and reference books to fiction and general knowledge. There are a variety of books available for students of all levels on various subjects, literature, travel etc. the school subscribes newspapers and magazines to enable students to gain knowledge and develop interest in reading.

The students are encouraged to read good books to widen their interests and extend their mental horizon. Around 30 weekly and monthly magazines and 3 English and 2 Hindi Newspapers are available. The young scholars can refer to this storehouse of knowledge to cater for their intellectual pursuits.

PLAYGROUND

IT HAS RIGHTLY BEEN SAID,” The Battle of Waterloo was won on the playfields of Eton”. The values imbibed through the spirit of healthy competition can hardly be learnt anywhere else. The school has extensive playgrounds and open space where students play various games, namely, Volley ball, Football, Kho-Kho, Badminton etc. Each student is encouraged to take part in games and competitions on house and class basis. The playgrounds must be spacious and outdoors, but they must also be secluded so that the children (and their parents) feel safe and do not have to consider the outside world. A good playground will allow for anyone on the playground (including the teacher) to see all that is going on, but will not have any connections or visibility to the street or any location off school grounds. At the same time, it should seem open and spacious. Thus, some high walls are necessary, but using the school buildings as boundaries as well can preserve the open feeling of the playground.

COMPUTER LAB

Well-designed and separate computer labs for kids and older children, run by a well-educated and qualified faculty, with one-on-one access, which means there is one computer for each child. Pre – primary kids learn words through PowerPoint presentations and innovative software.

They are state-of-the-art with multimedia, most of them with 17″ LCD monitors that are easier on eyes, generate less heat and consume less power thereby keeping the classroom atmosphere comfortable for children.
